Our Places

Altilium is building an integrated scale-up platform taking our technology from R&D and pilot validation through commercial demonstration to industrial-scale battery materials production. Our ACT1 to ACT4 facilities provide a clear pathway for scaling our technology and establishing domestic capacity for the production of critical battery materials.

ACT1

ACT1 is Altilium's advanced technology incubator and the innovation engine behind our critical materials platform. Bringing together scientists, engineers and materials experts, the cutting-edge R&D facility provides a dedicated environment for developing and proving the next generation of circular battery technologies.
ACT2

ACT2 is Altilium's first-of-a-kind pilot plant, bridging the gap between technology development and commercial-scale production. With capacity to process up to 100 tonnes of battery black mass annually, the facility validates and optimises Altilium's proprietary technologies under real-world operating conditions, producing high-purity battery materials for customer qualification.
ACT3

ACT3 is Altilium's first commercial-scale facility, designed to process 8,000 tonnes of black mass annually, equivalent to around 24,000 EV batteries. The facility will produce nickel MHP, lithium sulphate and recycled graphite, demonstrating Altilium's technology at industrial scale and establishing a new domestic source of critical battery materials.
ACT4

ACT4 represents the culmination of Altilium's scale-up strategy, taking our proven technology from commercial demonstration to full industrial production. Designed to process up to 50,000 tonnes of black mass annually, the flagship facility will produce up to 30,000 tonnes of cathode active material (CAM) per year, enough to meet over 20% of the UK’s demand by 2035.

Our Group

Altilium is building a wider critical materials ecosystem through specialist group companies that extend its capabilities beyond battery materials production. Together, they support the development of a more resilient, circular battery supply chain.

A first-of-its-kind battery recycling online ecosystem connecting sellers and buyers of end-of-life EV batteries on one dedicated platform. Leveraging an extensive network of relationships with industry partners, including OEMs, salvage yards and insurance companies, recell.store provides access to an inventory of thousands of EV batteries across the UK.

ReOre Technologies is dedicated to the recovery of critical and strategic materials from historic mine waste, leveraging Altilium’s extensive expertise in the processing of EV battery scrap. The company is positioned at the forefront of responsible resource recovery, turning legacy waste into a resilient supply chain for copper and other critical raw materials.
