Altilium’s COO and co-founder Dr Christian Marston was interviewed for the latest edition of the Advanced Propulsion Centre’s Road to Net Zero podcast.

As Dr Marston explains in the podcast, the transition to net zero will require huge volumes of critical minerals, which the UK does not have in large quantities.

By recovering lithium and other critical minerals from end-of-live EV batteries and gigafactory scrap, Altilium is building a sustainable domestic supply of the raw materials needed to power the millions of UK-made EVs forecast by the end of the decade.

With the support of the APC, Altilium is scaling up its game-changing recycling technology, to help de-risk the UK’s battery supply chain and support the creation of a self-sustaining, globally competitive industry.
