With a profound commitment to innovation and sustainability, Rob is set to lead technically the scale-up of EV battery recycling at our existing hydrometallurgical plant in Europe (ACT 3) which will process battery waste from 24,000 EVs to low carbon, sustainable lithium and nickel battery intermediates.

There are few environmentally friendly options to recycle old EV batteries in Europe in the near term given the capital expenditure required and the permitting timeline associated with building a hydrometallurgical facility such as ours, giving a first mover advantage in recycling in Eastern Europe.

His expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping our efforts to create a greener and more sustainable future for electric vehicles. By closing the loop in EV battery supply chains, we can reduce carbon, promote energy security and minimise the need for new mining, saving our natural resources.
