Altilium Metals aimed to raise £714,006 but exceeded its target and achieved 110% of this, resulting in £786,005 of investment at the end of the campaign from 410 new investors.

Funds will be used the support the build out of its Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling Technology Centre and studies into its UK plant recycling battery waste from 150,000 EV’s, the largest planned.

Crowdfuding gave Altilium Metals an opportunity to diversify funding and interact with the local community in Teesside, location of the recycling facility, as well as supporting it’s social license in Devon, site of the Technology Centre.

Seedrs allows investors to buy and sell shares in private companies and provides ambitious entrepreneurs ways to raise capital for their company while building community in the process. Since its launch in 2012, Seedrs has funded over 1,832 deals, with nearly £2.2 billion invested on the platform to date.

For a business to be given the go-ahead to raise on Seedrs it has passed detailed due diligence and companies such as Passion Capital, the UK Government Future Fund and Bolt are examples of other early-stage and growth businesses who raised funds on the Seedrs platform.
