This 18-month program will commence Q4 2022 and is in collaboration with KGS Pte Ltd, a Singapore general recycler and includes a feasibility study into commercial li-ion battery recycling in Singapore.

This work builds on our existing activities in SE Asia and supports our vision to be a supplier of primary, mined and secondary, recycled critical metals for renewable energy storage in SE Asia, UK and Europe.

Asia, led by China, accounted for 90 percent of the world’s battery manufacturing in 2021, however, by the end of the decade, it is expected the region to reduce its share to 69 percent as the rest of the world builds capacity.
